UX/Librarianship, Year One: Building Infrastructue and Developing Mentalities

A session at LITA Forum

Saturday 14th November, 2015

2:15pm to 3:00pm (CST)

Introducing the systematic study and consideration of user experience in a library system can be a daunting task. The presenter will discuss his experience doing exactly that and more in his first year of librarianship at Minnesota State University Mankato. This will not be a presentation about fancy, flashy, or high-tech UX projects: rather, it will explore the practical and organizational aspects of implementing UX in the library, from figuring out how to integrate UX into existing org charts to deciding who exactly does UX.
