Stop Stress in its Tracks: Mindfulness Techniques for a Modern Society

This presentation will include an introduction to secular mindfulness practices as a tool for self-care and classroom stress management. The content will cover the basic neuroscience behind practicing intentional attention, examples of mindfulness as a technique to promote positive student mental health and applications for personal and professional use, Ms. Koffler will highlight the research study on our evidence-based curriculum for the Mindfulness Ambassador Council and the importance of social & emotional learning in education. Participants will experience a breathing practice and engage in a brief discussion on the tools and techniques that they can apply in their respective communities.
