STEM Programming for Preschoolers

A session at 2015 Maryland Library Association & Delaware Library Association Joint Annual Conference

Thursday 7th May, 2015

3:30pm to 5:30pm (EST)

In this workshop, you will learn about the STEM Curiosity Academy, an educational program conceived by Dr. Marisel Torres-Crespo of Hood College and adapted for libraries by Frederick County Public Libraries. This program equips librarians and educators with the necessary skills to develop STEM programs for preschoolers that emphasize learning through discovery and play. You will leave the session with outlines for five easy, inexpensive and exciting STEM projects for preschools and a new-found confidence in your preschool STEM programming abilities.
