In this open discussion, we identify technical and non technical challenges in the journey of building a Connected Business from a team who has achieved this in Brazil.
Yuri Marx, Solution Director at CDS, Philippe Sevestre founder of LightHouse Tecnologia e Sistemas, and Anael Carvalho, Solutions Architect at Livraria Saraiva will discuss challenges faced within their organizations, shortfalls of traditional methods and how to overcome them and increase value to customers. In addition Asanka Abeysinghe, VP of Solutions Architecture at WSO2, will discuss advantages of using open source middleware and cloud technologies in this context.

Besides being an expert in SOA, he also has extensive experience in Process Development and Software Architecture. With extensive knowledge in various areas of Software Engineering, he has received 22 technical certifications including SOA Architect, SCEA, RUP, ITIL, CobiT and so on. Today, he is committed in the development and evolution of the SOA development process and also CDS SOA Architecture

An engineer graduated from Escola Politécnica da USP, Philippe has more than 25 years of software development experience over a broad range of programming languages, operating systems, and development tools, targeting heterogeneous, mission-critical system integration projects. He is a founder and partner at LightHouse Tecnologia e Sistemas, where he is in charge of all technical aspects related to products and services offered by the company, including, since 2012, all those offered by WSO2. He also works directly with key customers as a consultant for system architecture teams and secure software development.

Asanka has over 15 years of industry experience, including implementation of projects ranging from desktop and web applications to highly scalable distributed systems and SOAs in the financial domain, mobile platforms, and business integration solutions. His areas of specialization include application architecture, development using Java technologies, C/C++ on Linux and Windows platforms. He spearheads the WSO2’s customer-facing technical tasks and oversees the solution architecture and technical sales functions. Asanka also provides consulting to key WSO2 customer and conducts workshops specifically targeted at enterprise architects and technical managers.

He has numerous years of experience in designing and building large scale consumer-facing applications and features with a wide range of products, technologies and solutions in challenging industries such as Retail and Healthcare.
