Managing Your Content Migration Process

A session at SharePoint Fest - D.C. 2015

  • Maggie Swearingen

Friday 10th April, 2015

9:55am to 11:05am (EST)

Content owners know -- it's not the technical 'lift' of migrating content that's often the most complex and frustrating aspect of a large upgrade or implementation process -- it's the pre-work and analysis that accompany large (and small) scale migrations. This session focuses on step-by-step instructions for preparing your content (and your content authors!) for the migration process.

We'll review:

the content audit
tools to assist with the tagging and taxonomy process
real-world stories from successful migrations
pros and cons of different migration tools
the practical business decisions you'll need to make to make this migration a success
