This session will discuss architecting a highly available SharePoint environment in the cloud. This session will dive deep into considerations when deploying SharePoint in the cloud such as networking, fault tolerance and performance. This session will include a demo where we will configure and deploy SharePoint in a cloud enviornment. We will provide best practices for implementing related Microsoft technologies including Active Directory, Remote Desktop Services, SQL Server, and NAT/proxy servers. We will also provide recommended practices for operating, managing and monitoring SharePoint in the cloud.

David Rocamora is a Solutions Architect with Amazon Web Services whose experience with high performance, fault tolerant, and cost efficient infrastructures has helped to enable AWS customers and partners ranging from two person startups to multinational enterprises. He enjoys working with organizations to find and use technology that will support their goals. David is a midwesterner at heart who lived in NYC, but left before he picked up the accent. He now lives in Seattle where he enjoys spending time with his family and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
