Jessica Musila

Executive Director, Mzalendo Trust

Over the last four years, Jessica has spearheaded the evolution of the Mzalendo.com blog into Kenya’s premier Parliamentary Monitoring initiative.

She is passionate about social justice and prior to her involvement with Mzalendo, Jessica worked in the governance, development and humanitarian sectors. She has held various roles at mySociety, the Hivos Foundation Twaweza project, the German Technical Cooperation, and the International Committee Red Cross.

Leah Rosenzweig

Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Leah Rosenzweig is a PhD student in comparative politics, focusing on the political economy of development in Africa. She graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University with a degree in Government and African Studies in 2010.

Before coming to MIT Leah worked as the program manager at Columbia University’s Earth Institute on a development project in Nigeria.

Leah is a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow.
