Thursday 10th September, 2015
1:30pm to 3:00pm
This workshop will provide an insight into the fundamentals of user research and its importance to project success.
This session is designed to answer the following questions:
why do you need to do UX research?
when in the development/design lifecycle should research be done?
how do you prepare your research brief?
how do you select and recruit your participants?
what do you need to measure (usability, user needs, content, user journey etc)?
which methods should be used (quantitative/qualitative)?
how can you make the best use of your research?
how do you communicate the findings to stakeholders?
This workshop is an interactive session which will invite the audience to share their projects, questions and challenges they have experienced. I'll share my extensive experience, research tips, case studies and anecdotes I've come across in my career.
My overall aim is to help you to leave the session with enough understanding and basic knowledge to start doing user research.
