It is a common practice within the Microservices world to focus more about what's between the boxes rather than what's inside the boxes (the boxes in this case being services). While REST seems to be a common choice for service communication, it is important to know and understand the other service communication options available and the capabilities those alternatives provide. In this session I will explore other interesting and viable options for service communication, including Redis, ZeroMQ, IronMQ, Kestrel, and ElasticMQ.
