Inspect and adapt yourself - how mindfulness, neuroscience and productivity hacking keep you Sprint ready

A session at Scrum Australia 2016

  • Daragh Byrne

Thursday 28th April, 2016

4:15pm to 5:05pm (EST)

A knowledge professional’s most important tool is their mind. As a meditation teacher and Scrum professional, I’ll explore how the ‘Inspect and Adapt’ principle of Scrum is supported by mindfulness practices.

Mindfulness trains you to continuously inspect and adapt to your present-moment situation; just like a well-oiled Scrum team! Even better, mindfulness has numerous scientifically established benefits, including: heightened self-awareness, improved mental clarity, stress reduction and increased concentration – all of which can enhance productivity and creativity.

We’ll delve into the neuroscience of attention, and explore why productivity-hacking techniques are so essential to getting things done in a modern workplace.
