Suncorp has maintained a constant drive to become more agile over the last 10 years. We have had many different change programs, we have had many leads. Agile has sustained itself throughout and is still at the forefront of how we wish to work. Regardless of knowing that it is a endless journey, it is one we wish to continue travelling on.
This change has reached executive leadership and has impacted the way by which we need to lead and consider our roles, going forward. Providing the enabling environment for our teams to be cross-functional, is something I consider a constant; by listening to our teams and changing what I need to change, as it emerges.
My talk will be to share with you my own personal journey of change, in particular how important it was that I realised that change cannot be pushed; but that delivery will come if you enable the right culture.
Scrum has given me the ability to see how a team’s culture evolves, and why it needs to be allowed to happen, rather than by controlling what people must achieve. My goal is to allow you to see how I have enabled a Digital Ecosystem to be created and sustained, so as to be an Enabler of Suncorp’s ambition for the future. By sharing my story, I aim for you to return to your workplace and be inspired to change.
