OpenCV, Seeing the World Through the Eyes of a Computer

A session at Boise Code Camp 2016

Saturday 19th March, 2016

1:40pm to 2:55pm (MST)

Session Level: 200

Come learn about OpenCV, a computer vision library that is packed with algorithms for object detection, facial recognition, segmentation, motion tracking, augmented reality, and more. I'll give a hands on demonstration of some algorithms I have used for my robots to help them see and locate objects. All you need to get started is a smartphone or a laptop with a webcam.

I'll bring in a Lego NXT robot with a webcam and laptop to demonstrate the possibilities.

You can find the code I created to experiment with OpenCV algorithms here: http://famlinkup.com/opencvtutor...

This is a NetBeans project I created using Maven and Swing.

The presentation can be found here: https://prezi.com/9qbdrpx-tub1/w...
