KEYNOTE ADDRESS: Creating Thinking Classrooms for Improved Teaching and Learning

A session at The 6th Annual Summit on Education Technology Strategies for Colleges, Universities & K-12 Schools

Wednesday 6th April, 2016

8:45am to 9:15am (EST)

Inquiry! Digital classrooms! Learning goals! Assessment! Numeracy! 21st century competencies! How can we make sense of the ever-increasing pressure on teachers, administrators and systems to adopt and implement new initiatives that often seem disconnected? In this session, we will:

-Consider why thinking needs to be at the heart of 21st century learning
-Unpack five principles that best support student learning regardless of the particular initiative
-Play with strategies to nurture quality thinking across the curriculum and foster meaningful engagement

Leave this session with a cohesive framework for thinking about teaching and learning.
