Hands-on Lab: Building an IoT weatherstation

A session at IoT Tech Day 2016

Thursday 14th April, 2016

3:00pm to 4:55pm (AMT)

Think those plastic stock home weather stations are boring? I couldn't agree more! I wanted to keep a history of temperature and humidity and view it no matter where I am, on the road, on the office, everywhere. So I decided to build my own weatherstation using the Arduino Uno. In this workshop you will build an online weatherstation that displays the humidity and temperature. This data is retrieved from an Arduino that is connected with USB and displayed on a webapplication based on AngularJS backed by an API based on Spring Boot. This workshop is an upgrade of the same workshop from previous year. We've changed from bluetooth to USB due to compatibility issues and it also introduces the usage of AngularJS for the front-end.
