Will the IoT be IP (Internet Protocol) based? Here are some advantages

A session at IoT Tech Day 2016

Thursday 14th April, 2016

3:00pm to 3:45pm (AMT)

Today we see many protocols mentioned as the basis for the IoT, but which protocol will make it to the finish line? Will it be LoRa, Sigfox, 6LoWPAN, Wifi, cellular or something else? What is the impact of making a choice on your architecture and how will it fit in the infrastructure we already have today?

Next to hardware, software has an equally important role to fulfill in the IoT. picoTCP is Altran’s TCP/IP stack for the IoT and small devices, but is it up for the complex IoT challenge? Find it out during this talk!

picoTCP recently got upgraded with 6LoWPAN support and is entirely open source (GPLv2). Find out more on http://picotcp.com
