Hands-on Lab: Connect a sensor to the web with the ESP8266 and MQTT

A session at IoT Tech Day 2016

  • Tebbo Herrewijnen

Thursday 14th April, 2016

11:40am to 1:15pm (AMT)

In this workshop we connect a sensor to the web using the ESP8266. The ESP8266 is a micro controller with a WiFi module. You will use a temperature or light sensor and program the ESP8266 to read the sensor data. This data will then be sent to an MQTT server. MQTT.fx is used for debugging and to monitor the messages.
