Making PeopleSoft Accessible at the University of Minnesota [SPONSORED]

A session at Mobility and Modern Web Conference

Wednesday 14th September, 2016

10:45am to 11:20am (PST)

GreyHeller, working with our customer - The University of Minnesota –– has made their OracleÒ PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, HCM and Portal systems fully accessible and WCAG compliant. Specific use cases include: Student Self-Service; Faculty Self-Service; Job Applicants.

The University set the PeopleSoft Accessibility bar at providing parity of access for its visually impaired students. It therefore needed to satisfy these critical requirements:
· All functionality had to be available if the keyboard was the only means of interaction
· All functionality had to be easy to use – versus only render-able – on accessibility devices
· Functionality could not be disabled because rendering on accessibility devices was problematic.

With GreyHeller’s PeopleMobile®, the University transformed the HTML and JavaScript generated by PeopleSoft to address these accessibility issues:

Semantic HTML
Navigation and Taxonomy
End-user Interaction
