This talk will give a very brief overview of the proposal-writing process from the view of a proposal consultant.
Although my academic background is in organic chemistry, I have been happily away from the lab since 1999. I spent a year and a half working in corporate communications for the Battelle Memorial Institute before striking out on my own. I worked on my first proposal in 2012, and since then I have helped my clients earn nearly $5 million in federally funded grants. In addition to writing, I enjoy my family, bicycling, ice hockey, travel, cooking, knitting, cats, and multitasking. I blog irregularly at melissaverbs.wordpress.com.
