Metadata and Information Architecture - A Pragmatic Approach

A session at SPTechCon - San Francisco - 2016

We all know that metadata is useful, even essential - but "information chaos" is too often the norm. Information architecture and metadata can be abstract, daunting topics - and getting people to tag their content is a thankless task, usually an impossible one.

This session takes you through metadata and information architecture and how to use it in SharePoint. Learn how to organize, structure, and label your content in an effective and sustainable way. We'll use a combination of demos and case studies to show how to use content types, the content organizer, the term store, and tools such as workflows and autoclassifiers to clean up your content and keep it clean.

Level: Intermediate

Audience: IT Pro Essentials, Project Managers, Power User Essentials
