In an increasingly competitive environment, a desire to market ourselves and with aspirations to deliver a better student experience, the HE sector is looking at ways to streamline business processes and to run more efficiently and effectively with a view to becoming more focussed and business-minded institutions. This necessitates change and often on a large scale. Our new business modules mean more flexible ways of working and the upskilling of staff with a broader range of skills as we seek to remove silo working practices and single points of failure. Yet this change must happen whilst we continue to deliver our core business objectives. There is no point at which we can pause to “sort things out”. This session will explore how to keep the momentum for change moving yet at the same continue to deliver those activities that are at the heart of what we do.
