StoryHack 2016

A session at StoryHack 2016

A brand new one-day conference bringing together theatre makers, creative technologists, manufacturers and others to address the challenges and opportunities faced by theatres and artists by emerging technologies.

Part Of #TOMTech and Brighton Digital Festival

SHORT TALKS | TECH DEMOS & EXPO | ENRICHING CONVERSATIONS

Immersive tech is redefining the live experience. Where does the ‘shared experience’ of the future take place? What if actually ‘being there’ is no longer relevant? How do we tell stories effectively in worlds where the audience has more agency?

This is a chance to share best practice, network with like-minded storytellers from across the creative industries, and forge new collaborations.

Speakers:
Sam Watts - Operations lead for major UK game studio Make[Real]
Robin McNicholas - Director of creative collective Marshmallow Laser Feast
Simon Wilkinson - Artistic Director of internationally-renowned theatre company CiRCA69
Chris Thomas Allen - Founder and Creative Director of media arts studio The Light Surgeons
Jack Lowe - Theatre Director of curious directive
Gill Johnson - Director of Creative Media, Arts Council England
Helen Kennedy - Head of School, Media at Brighton University
