Translation is a process, not just the final product. Smooth cooperation is the key to producing a translation that will please everyone. This presentation discusses the key elements of optimal cooperation and proposes some best practices for producing high-quality technical translations. By viewing this process from the translator’s perspective, the presenter hopes that project managers and others involved in the production of technical documentation will better understand exactly what translators need to do their job as well as they possibly can.
