There are a number of collaboration tools for software development & documentation that can be used separately or in tandem. They include GitHub, Slack, and Mural. GitHub is a web-based repository for software projects that includes source control, issue tracking, notifications, documentation, & social features. Slack allows individual & group messaging that is searchable. Mural lets team members from around the world collaborate on a virtual whiteboard. In this session, we will learn how to use these tools & how technical communicators can use them to collaborate effectively with their teams.
