Documenting REST API

A session at tcworld conference 2016

Tuesday 8th November, 2016

4:15pm to 6:00pm (CET)

We live in times when almost anything you need is available in the cloud. Services in cloud must somehow communicate. In most cases it is a communication over REST API. ProgrammableWeb had 9000 APIs registered in 2013, this year they already have over 15,250. If you plan to become an API Technical Writer, you will most likely end up documenting REST APIs. I will explain to you what parts of documentation you should write, and what parts generate and what tools to use. I’ll also explain how you can play with the API, and what are so called REST Clients. At the end, if we have more time all participants will set up their own API documentation portal.
