Content is wasted if users can’t find it. With a taxonomy, you can build the links, keywords, and filters that get users to the right information. It helps authors manage content too, and makes collaboration with other teams much easier. It can even expose gaps and opportunities for improvement in the content itself.
But it can also frustrate users, slow down writing, and confuse collaborators. Internal disagreements and awkward compromises can result in a taxonomy that suits no-one. Learn how to create focused terms and structures that will benefit the whole organization and its customers.
