Any localization strategy has to consider the specialties of a company and the industry. Types of content, organizational, financial and IT-specific aspects play an important role. But decisions are mostly made because of cost arguments. A localization strategy can only be adequate if all criteria are taken into consideration, that are relevant for a proper decision. The example of Semcon will illustrate the advantages of the optimal localization strategy. This presentation will show a decision support model that closes the gap by identifying the optimal individual localization strategy.
