The days in which major search engines worked on nothing but strings are gone. Meta data annotation, and processing concepts related amongst others to the Semantic Web have found their way into today’s search ecosystem. 10 years after the article “Terminological and lexical data for the Semantic Web” and 6 years after the tekom talk “Meta Data for the Masses” an interesting question for the tech doc community is the following: How much synergy does already exist between terminology-related tools and resources and meta data-related Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?
Necessary knowledge of participants: Basic understanding of search, meta data, markup on the one hand; basic understanding of terminology management and tooling on the other hand.
