What Makes User Interface Localizable: An Insight into Kaspersky Experience

A session at tcworld conference 2016

Thursday 10th November, 2016

3:30pm to 4:15pm (CET)

The present contribution encompasses the experience of the Russian anti-virus software developer in localizing UI content into world languages. The presentation focus is on main difficulties caused by non-flexible code development the localizers may face when preparing localized versions of various applications. Particular cases show what can be done or, conversely, avoided both on the GUI development side, as well as on the localization side, to increase the UI localizability and release an application with high-quality localized content based on internationalization requirements.
