Asia is in the midst of a new era of military modernisation with submarines, and unmanned underwater vehicles. Given the current market tensions and vulnerabilities, many developing countries are upgrading their mine detection capabilities and want to dominate and reinvigorate underwater surveillance systems both in shallow and coastal waters.
Underwater Technology &Surveillance APAC 2016 is designed to bring together technical and hydrography experts from government and industry to discuss and exchange information one merging technologies and upcoming requirements and procurement plans pertaining from regional navies and coastguards.
With this procurement plans comes a set of unique challenges for the region including the risk and the necessity for enhanced maritime cooperation. As a result, this conference plays an important role in addressing the challenges and shaping the opportunities associated with underwater surveillance including unmanned underwater vehicle technologies, mine hunting operations, submarine warfare and more.
