Lanyrd have released a suite of tools for attendees in partnership with the Digital Shoreditch 2012 festival, to help attendees navigate and get the most out of the event, and to showcase Lanyrd's event technology platform.
Building on their success at SXSW Interactive 2012, Lanyrd have been working in partnership with Digital Shoreditch to provide the official festival schedule for this year's festival. The schedule provides attendees with the full programme for all the events and sessions within the festival.
Attendees can sign into Lanyrd using their Twitter credentials and can then choose to view a customised schedule of sessions their Twitter contacts are presenting or attending, helping to make connections during the festival. It also allows attendees to create their own personal schedule, which they can then use with the Lanyrd mobile apps or subscribe to in iCal or Google Calendar.
The Lanyrd schedule for Digital Shoreditch integrates with Eventbrite, meaning that attendees can easily book tickets as they browse the festival programme.
Kam Star, Founder of Digital Shoreditch says: “Our collective ambition is to help people get together and get to know the amazing talent, ideas and capabilities on our doorstep. We are on a path to propel the area to the forefront of the global stage, as the number one hub of digital and technical creativity. Working with local technology partners is an important aspect to this and Lanyrd has been a great way for us to promote this talent.”
To help surface those all important new connections, Lanyrd provides the official Digital Shoreditch attendee directory. This is a searchable directory of everyone who will be at the festival, if attendees sign in using their Twitter to Lanyrd we even show them which of their Twitter contacts will be there. As well as being searchable, it is possible to filter the directory by the attendees interest, based around sessions they have expressed interest in. Users can use this to find people they might want to meet and can follow people on Twitter directly from their directory listing.
During Digital Shoreditch, Lanyrd will be crowd-sourcing the collection of slides, write-ups, sketch notes, videos and audio clips from the festival to make a lasting archive of information for people who were at the event and those who couldn't make it.
Lanyrd provides both a native iPhone app and mobile web app. Both include offline storage of event information, meaning attendees can access their personalised schedule and the festival schedule, even without a reliable data connection.
