Get Lanyrd conference recommendations by email

Now you can stay up to date with events your contacts are interested in even more conveniently — direct to your email inbox!

Lanyrd is proud to announce the release of our email features. Enter your email address in the little box on the homepage or in your email preferences (only available if you are signed in with Twitter) and you will get a welcome email from us letting you know about conferences your Twitter contacts are tracking or attending. These conferences in the first mail are the same as on your calendar page. Why not forward them to a friend?

You can set the preferences for the frequency of these emails and we'll send you neatly compacted parcels of recommendations based on the activity of your contacts.

We will also drop you a line when someone lists you as a speaker or staff at an event. We think it's important to let you know when they do this as it affects your public profile.

If you ask us to we can also send infrequent emails to keep you updated about the incredibly exciting world of Lanyrd news, including new feature announcements!

We're using the super awesome Mailgun to send and receive email here at Lanyrd. If you have an app or service needing email functionality we would highly recommend you do the same!

We have thought long and hard about the emails we send to you, and we hope you find them useful and not at all annoying. Please let us know what you think!

This is going to be really useful for me. It's easy to get busy and forget to make time to find out what conferences are happening, so email alerts are going to be the perfect prompt to come back and check what's new on Lanyrd. Thanks guys!

Wonderful stuff. Could you make the Twitter contact references into links in the email?

Alex: we opted not to do that since it would massively bulk out the emails, but you're the first person to give us feedback on that so we'll have a bit more of a think about it.
