Are you fed up of seeing nothing but SXSW in your Twitter stream? Try our new browser extension which hides tweets from over 3,000 known attendees, as well as anything with the #sxsw hash tag.
Although it may seem like it, not everyone is heading to Austin for SXSW. If you aren't there, you may already be fed up of hearing about it on Twitter - and over the next five days the noise is only going to get worse.
Luckily for you, we have a cunning solution. Lanyrd knows of more than 3,000 people who are attending this year's SXSW Interactive... and we've created a Twitter browser extension that can remove their tweets from your stream for the duration of the conference!
Simply install the extension (for Firefox or Chrome) from our Not at SXSW site and use the menu it adds to the Twitter homepage to filter out tweets from known attendees, tweets with the #sxsw hash tag or both.

The extension always displays how many tweets it is hiding, and if you get curious you can toggle hiding on and off just long enough to confirm that yes, people are still drinking margaritas, scoffing down guacamole and trying to find each other at parties.
We think this is a handy accompaniment to our existing Twitter extension, which you should definitely try out too.
