In which Natalie and Simon have an adventure in Istanbul, Sophie and Jake take a trip to the seaside, and poor Tom stays at home on his lonesome.
This past week at Lanyrd Towers we've been steadily working through our current projects whilst Nat & Simon have been away having a well deserved break in Istanbul. Tom has been working on Project P, which we hope to be releasing to you all this week. He's also been knuckling down to some sys admin tasks that have been hanging around for a while, and so has that lovely "I've been meaning to do that for months" smirk on his face.
Young Jake has been hard at work with the update to our m.lanyrd.com mobile web app. There have been occassional shrieks and some in-depth discussion between Jake and Tom, which is always fun to listen to. We're looking forward to letting you all get your nice clean mitts on the new version within the next few weeks.
On Friday Jake and I left Tom holding the fort and popped down to Brighton for the superb Ampersand Conference. Jake gave us all a very interesting talk (with only a few rude words) on using @font-face to serve custom fonts to browsers. The whole conference was a super, in-depth dive into the world of typography and I really enjoyed it. Thanks to Rich and the Clearleft gang for organising it.
