Lanyrd: the early days

To celebrate our second birthday: for the first time in one place, we've put together a collection of tweets, photos and notes that document the unconventional birth of our little startup. When we started Lanyrd as a side-project on honeymoon in Casablanca we had no idea how far it would go! This is the honest story of the stresses and strains of rapidly launching a project into the world.

It's our second birthday!

How time flies... today is the two-year anniversary of our initial public launch, from a rented apartment in Casablanca on Natalie and Simon's honeymoon.

Track topics on Lanyrd for smarter event suggestions

Today we're expanding the ways in which you can recieve event suggestions from Lanyrd: you can now track topics around the site, allowing you to subscribe to events that match your exact criteria and are happening in the places you care about.
