How to run an evening event

Have you ever thought you might like to run a series of evening events, but you weren't sure how to go about it? If you've got an urge to build a sense of community in your field of expertise, or if you struggle to contain your passion for knowledge and want people to share and learn with, you're probably a great candidate for becoming an evening event organiser.

Lanyrd no longer requires write access to your Twitter account

We've made an important change to the way Lanyrd interacts with your Twitter account: we no longer require write access in order to use the site. Instead, we'll ask permission to upgrade to write access only when you do something on the site that needs it.

It's FRIDAY

In a desperate effort to return to a Proper and Normal universe, I'm going to try to actually do the Friday weeknotes blog entry on a Friday. It's crazy. But I have to try. As Jake managed to slip all the way into Tuesday (slacker) this means that I only have 3 days to talk about, but I'll try to pad it out with rambling as much as I can.

Weeknotes: iOS apps, burly lumberjacks, & bockety arms

It's been a bit of a hectic week. We fled Castle Lanyrd and created a new upgraded base of operations a whole four minutes away, which we're lovingly calling Lanyrd:TNG. Rather than pay some burly lumberjack-shaped peoples to move stuff for us, we decided to "lumberjack up" and do it ourselves.

Weeknotes: improved session pages & speaker directories and upcoming iPhone design refresh

This week we Launched the official Digital Shoreditch schedule site and set up automated testing of our JavaScript. We rolled out some improvements to our session pages and speaker directories. I also have a sneak peak for you of some screenshots of our iPhone refresh and a bit more on our design process.
